A Message from our Chairman, Dave Wickersham About Ham and Handguns
WOW, what a weekend we had with a little over 100 attending the annual Shoot/Picnic event “Ham and Handguns”. The weather cooperated for the most part, we got a light drizzle about the time we finished eating.
The folks who went to the PCLEA range for the shooting competition had a good time and we appreciate the services of our Range Safety Officer, Judge Bob Cherry and all our volunteers that made it a fun time.
We cooked 42 chicken halves and the main entree of BBQ pig made an impressive entry at 2:00 with Trump flags flying (thanks to Frank Roe and Melvin). Check out the photos by Pat Dixon on our Facebook page. Carol Brookman, our overall Chairperson, coordinated tickets, advertising, and the incredible side dishes provided by our FANTASTIC GOP ladies. You can bet that no one left hungry!!
A huge THANK YOU to all of you that worked hard to make this event another successful fundraiser and good time. We were honored to have Judge Jefferson Griffin and his wife Katye attend along with Judge April Wood, Judge Bob Cherry, Judge Clint Rowe & Tina, Commissioner (soon to be Judge!) Paul Delamar, Commissioner Doug Brinson, Register of Deeds Lynn Lewis, Representative Bobby Hanig and Senator Norman Sanderson. Former Secretary of State candidate Michael LaPaglia and family also attended. In addition, Carl Mishka, Chairman of the Third Congressional District, and his wife Linda stopped in to visit with us and enjoy some of the great cusine! Headquarters was a busy place Saturday, thanks to all who came out to support your local Party.
In the past week we added 9 more new Republicans to our side of the aisle, the other party lost 4 so we now have 234 more registered Republicans in the County than that “other” Party. I am so disgusted with the leadership of that
“Other” party that I cannot call them by name. Suffice it to say, they used to be one of the two great parties representing America, not so much any more in my opinion. In any event, let’s stay positive, keep up the good work, and don’t be afraid to speak up for AMERICA and the principles of freedom, and the God given right to LIFE-LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS!!
